The DEIF PPU/2/GS is a Multi-line 2 Protection and Paralleling Unit designed for generator control, synchronization, load sharing, and electrical protection. Installation and Maintenance — PPU/2/GS

Before replacement, document the CT ratios, VT settings, generator rated data, synchronization parameters, breaker logic, load-sharing configuration, and protection setpoints. Save the existing configuration through the DEIF PC utility where possible.

Verify all voltage and current transformer connections carefully. CT polarity and phase sequence are particularly important because incorrect connections can produce incorrect power measurements or unwanted protection trips. After installation, test voltage, current, frequency, synchronization, breaker operation, load sharing, alarms, and trip functions under controlled conditions.

Personally, I would preserve the original parameter file before removing the controller. For a legacy generator system, recovering the application settings can take considerably longer than installing the hardware itself.

Product Warranty — PPU/2/GS

Warranty coverage depends on supplier, equipment condition, and purchase agreement. For new-old-stock, surplus, or refurbished inventory, confirm the exact hardware configuration, software version, display condition, functional-test results, serial number, and warranty period before purchase.

The DEIF PPU/2/GS is now a legacy product, with DEIF officially identifying the PPU-2 as phased out and replaced by the PPU 300. For an existing installation, however, an exact-match spare can remain the most practical maintenance option when system replacement is not immediately planned.
